Transportplanner Benelux

KLG Europe is a global logistics service provider with ambitious growth plans. To support this growth and expand our Benelux Planning Department, we are looking for a full-time Transport Planner.

In this role, you will become part of a young yet experienced team that manages more than 40 vehicles operating throughout Benelux on a daily basis. You act as the link between our drivers, planning department, and customers. You ensure an efficient daily transport schedule while supporting and guiding our drivers. You always have a clear overview of shipments that are in transit and those still to be dispatched, allowing you to anticipate unexpected situations and respond flexibly to challenges.

What are you going to do?

• Serve as the first point of contact and advisor for drivers and several key customers.
• Inform customers and transport partners promptly in case of disruptions or irregularities.
• Process transport files and trip documentation for invoicing purposes.
• •Investigate and, where possible, resolve irregularities such as shortages and Proof of Delivery (POD) issues.
• Plan daily Benelux transport operations together with your team for a fleet of more than 40 vehicles.
• Handle the buying and selling of direct freight.
• Communicate with company drivers, transport partners, internal departments (such as the Export Department), and customers.
• Perform additional tasks that contribute to the efficient operation of the department.

Your profile

• You have an MBO or Level 4 working and thinking level (or an equivalent vocational qualification).
• You have at least 2 years of experience as a Transport Planner.
• You see challenges instead of problems.
• You possess strong communication and organizational skills and easily build relationships with customers.
• You work accurately and carefully with customer data.
• You perform well in a fast-paced environment, are stress-resistant, and are willing to go the extra mile.
• Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel is considered an advantage.
