Privacy Statement KLG Europe

This privacy statement (hereinafter referred to as: the ‘Privacy Statement’) is applicable to SE Netherlands Logistics Holding B.V., and their subsidiaries, as well as all companies affiliated to them, jointly referred to in this Privacy Statement as ‘KLG Europe’.

KLG Europe processes your personal data in a safe and careful way, preventing it from being available to unauthorized persons. We value your trust in our company and we intend to meet the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) when handling your personal data. How this is implemented is detailed below.

 

Following categories can be distinguished when processing personal data per category or service:

  1. A) for Customers and suppliers:

KLG Europe is a logistics service provider that process your personal data when you are using our logistics services and / or you provide your personal data to us.

 When using these services, you agree that we collect and use your personal information in accordance with this privacy statement. The reason for this processing is the agreement that we will mutually enter into will mean that the retention period is at least seven years after the execution of the contract due to statutory fiscal obligations. The following is an overview of the personal data that we process:

  • First and last name
  • Sex
  • Business phone number
  • Business e-mail address
  • Loading and unloading address
  • Other personal data that you actively provide, for example in writing and by telephone

 

  1. B) for access to our offices and business premises

KLG Europe is a logistics service provider that processes your personal data when you are using our logistics services and / or you provide your personal data to us.

When using these services, you agree that we collect and use your personal information in accordance with this privacy statement. This process concerns access control and camera surveillance. The reason for this process is for our legitimate interest in protecting our properties and those of our customers, as well as the safety of our employees. The storage period is at most 4 weeks after acquisition. Below is an overview of the personal data that we process:

  • first and last name
  • passport or driving license number (specifically for drivers)
  • license plate truck (specifically for drivers)

 

  1. C) for job applicants

KLG Europe is a logistics service provider that processes your personal data when you are using our logistics services and / or you provide your personal data to us.

By using these services, you agree that we collect and use your personal information in accordance with this privacy statement. This process concerns the use and storage of your c.v. and motivation letter. The reason for this process is to gain your implicit permission for a retention period of no more than 4 weeks after receipt; hereafter we will only keep your data with your explicit consent for a maximum of 12 months. You have the right to request the removal of your data at all times.

 

Why we need your personal data

KLG Europe processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • to be able to contact you if necessary to carry out our services, this may arise from an agreement that we have concluded with you or because we are legally obliged to do so.
  • to inform you about the changes to our services and products, this may also arise from an agreement that we have concluded with you or because we are legally obliged to do so.
  • to contact you as job applicant and to check if you’re suitable for the job offer. 

 

How long we store your personal data

KLG Europe does not store your personal data any longer than is strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. Our retention period (s) are described above per category.

 

Sharing with third parties

KLG Europe does not sell your personal data to third parties and will only provide this information if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, a data processor agreement is put in place to ensure at least the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. Your data can be processed outside the European Economic Area, solely for performing the contractual agreements (logistics services), whereby extra specific contractual agreements with these processors protect your personal data. KLG Europe remains responsible for all processing for which we have received your personal data.

 

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to look into your personal data, to correct it, to temporarily stop processing it or have it removed. You can send a request for inspection, correction or deletion at any time to privacy@klgeurope.com. To ensure that the request for access has been made by you, you must enclose a copy of your ID with the request. You can make your photo and citizen service number (if any) unreadable on this copy. This is to protect your privacy. KLG Europe will respond to your request as soon as possible, but no later than after four weeks.

 

Security

KLG Europe takes seriously the way it handles the protection of your data and has taken adequate technical and organizational measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification. The use of encryption where possible, the use of up-to-date firewalls, password and authorization policies and rules of conduct for our employees are examples of these security measures. If you have the impression that your data is not properly secured or that there are indications of abuse, please contact us via privacy@klgeurope.com. You also have the right to file a complaint or objection with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (The Hague) at all times (https://autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl/nl/zelf-doen/gebruik-uw-privacyrechten/klacht-melden-bij-de-ap).

 

KLG Europe is a member of the Warning Register Logistics Sector Foundation (WLS)

The WLS aims to keep criminals and fraudsters out of the logistics chain. Participating companies can place registrations in the register. This registration comes about after someone has been dismissed because of a criminal offence. This must have been reported, but does not require a conviction. During the application procedure, KLG Europe tests whether an applicant is registered in the WLS. If this is the case, the applicant will not be hired.

 

Use of Cookies

KLG Europe uses functional and anonymized analytical cookies. A cookie is a small text file that is stored by the browser of your computer, tablet or smartphone when you first visit this website. The information stored therein can be sent back to our servers on a subsequent visit to our website. Also your IP address is processed for analysis and optimization for marketing and sales purposes. KLG Europe uses cookies with a purely technical functionality. These ensure that the website works properly, for example, your preferred settings can be remembered and help us to make the website work properly. We can also use these to optimize our website.
