To strengthen our Europe team, we are looking for a Freight Forwarder (Transport Planner). In this role, you will be responsible for a number of country groups, ensuring that shipments arrive at their destinations on time and without damage. You will work independently while also collaborating closely with your team.

What are you going to do?
- Receive, confirm, and enter transport orders (creating shipment files) received directly from customers or through the sales department;
- Assign freight to one of our strategic carriers while continuously optimizing the balance between transport cost and agreed transit times;
- Prepare loading instructions and unloading lists and send them to carriers;
- Provide loading instructions to warehouse personnel and clearly communicate any irregularities;
- Fully and accurately instruct carriers, trailer operators, and container operators for each shipment;
- Send complete shipment instructions to agents;
- Fulfill all administrative obligations towards customers, shippers, and agents;
- Maintain contact with carriers, customers, and international agents;
- Inform customers and carriers promptly about any irregularities;
- Answer questions from customers and carriers;
- Receive complaints and resolve them appropriately or forward them to the relevant department.

Your profile
- MBO Level 4 working and thinking level or equivalent;
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role;
- Good command of Dutch, English, and German, both spoken and written;
- Accurate and detail-oriented, with careful handling of customer information;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to easily build relationships with customers;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is an advantage.
