The Export/Import Coordinator will be responsible for managing customs documentation, submitting customs declarations, providing customs documents to operations and customers, and ensuring clearances are with operations in good time on a daily basis. They will be responsible for ensuring compliance of government policies, international customs laws and processes.
The role is office based from 09:00 to 17:30.
What are you going to do?
- Processing and submitting customs declarations for road freight shipments;
- Processing and submitting NCTS Transit declarations for road freight shipments;
- Processing and submitting S & S declarations for road freight shipments;
- Ensure accuracy of commercial and sales invoices in accordance with physical shipments: quantities, value of goods, Preferential duty and country of origin;
- Managing and maintaining all other documentation;
- Verifying tariff classifications and duty rates;
- Verifying CPC codes for types of shipments to be declared;
- Processing and generating sales invoices;
- Staying updated on changes in import/export regulations;
- Completing customs amendments (C2001 and C285);
- Dealing with queries from IBF (Inland Border Facility);
- Communicating with overseas colleagues;
- Communicating with third party agents and carriers.

Your profile
- 2 years + experience in Customs for Export/Import;
- Strong knowledge of export/import procedures and regulations;
- High level of attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy;
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal;
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to changing priorities;
- Excellent PC skills, including proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word);
- Ideally preferred, experience using Cargowise customs software system;
- A proactive attitude;
- Experience with HMRC departments: IPAFFS, Border Force, NCTS etc.
