As Head Planner at KLG, I am the first point of contact for both planning and drivers. My main responsibility is therefore managing and coordinating the planning department and the drivers.

I am responsible for assigning trips to drivers, taking into account the hours they have already worked and their previous routes. I also ensure that every vehicle is staffed, so we can provide our customers with optimal service. In addition, I serve as a backup for my colleagues’ planning when they are on leave. When the workload increases, we support each other as colleagues. That strong sense of teamwork suits me well and makes it a pleasant place to work. Being French-speaking is a major advantage in my role, as our Eersel branch specializes in groupage transport to and from France.

The challenge at KLG is making sure every shipment arrives at the customer on time — and successfully scheduling trips that might initially seem impossible. No two days are the same, and there’s no problem we can’t solve. Transport is a very dynamic sector, which makes it so interesting to work in. Driving and rest time regulations often present an additional challenge. You want to plan routes as efficiently as possible, keeping costs low while maximizing revenue. At the end of the day, it truly feels like a victory when everything comes together.

I see KLG as my second home. I started here when I was 19 and never wanted to leave. The challenges, the colleagues, and the warm family atmosphere ensure that I come to work every day with a positive feeling. When you work somewhere for so long, you build strong bonds with many people. All of that makes you feel truly at ease here. On top of that, being given opportunities to grow motivates me to continuously push myself to become better.”
