An important part in the logistics chain is the crossdock (x-dock). The various goods arrive at the crossdock. These are redistributed and placed back together with the outgoing goods. With the cross-dock, you can assume that the incoming goods are also gone within 24 hours. In other words, the goods are not stored like in a warehouse.

Cross-docking allows us to bundle goods more efficiently, save on transportation costs and put less strain on the environment.

At the crossdock we mainly work with a forklift and electric pallet truck. We also work with scanning equipment on which all data are recorded or on which you can enter the data. This way we can communicate directly with our digital transport system and we know which goods enter our crossdock at which locations and through which dock door they leave our building again. The incoming and outgoing goods are scanned, labeled, stickered, measured, possibly weighed, etc. You also check if there is no damage to the goods and you are responsible for proper loading and unloading. Because we group different goods in the crossdock (groupage transport) it is important that you can make a good estimation on how to best arrange this trailer.

Working at the crossdock is very challenging and varied. No day is the same. You work in a nice team in a company with an informal working atmosphere. Together you make sure that all shipments are correctly loaded and on time.
