Venlo on Stage!

We think it is important to invest in the younger generation. Today we had a number of enthusiastic VMBO students visit us during the Do Day of Venlo on Stage. They got an impression of different professions in logistics and hopefully it will help them to make a choice for further education. There are definitely some logistics talents among them, we saw during the activities we organized!

First, we welcomed all the students in the large conference room. With the help of a presentation and videos, the Operations Manager explained to them about KLG and logistics. For example, they were told what activities we do, what it is like to work at KLG, what different jobs there are and what they entail, what the opportunities are if you work at a logistics company, etc.

They were then given a tour of the building and stopped by various departments (such as Sales, Planning, Customer Service, Crossdock, Warehouse, etc.) for further explanations and to get an impression of the working environments.

Then they were divided into groups and set to work on various activities. For example, they were allowed to take a quiz in the TSP, perform actives on the warehouse, make an acquisition call, put together a price estimate, plan an efficient route, etc.

An active day in which we hopefully were able to give an impression of the different jobs in logistics. Who knows, we may soon welcome these talents for a nice internship within KLG.
