Sector appreciation - appreciation for professional knowledge

Appreciation for skill - Diplomas are important. It says something about how well you do your job. Equally important: work experience and mastering work processes in practice. Only ... the recognition and appreciation for this is not fixed in a diploma. STL (Sector institute Logistics, gouvermental Dutch party) has therefore started a pilot for awarding sector (partial) certificates to logistics employees without a diploma who do have so-called 'training-worthy' skills. At KLG Europe 16 employees in Venlo received their certificates in May 2022. KLG is proud of its employees and emphasizes that they are the most important because they make a difference every day.
APPRECIATION FOR PROFESSIONAL KNOWLEDGE
In May 2022, we ran the pilot at our Venlo branch. We are a logistics service provider and quality of our services is of paramount importance. We can only guarantee this quality thanks to our enthusiastic and committed colleagues.
Employees are the most important factor at KLG and it is therefore important to pay continuous attention to the development and appreciation of your employees. We got into conversation with STL about the pilot and were immediately enthusiastic. Our cross-dock and warehouse employees are actually the eyes of the organization. They see all the goods passing by and make sure the shipments are loaded on time and damage-free.
They all do this every day with great passion, commitment and skill. Unfortunately, in the past they have never received a diploma or certificate that is widely recognized in the industry, even though they are true professionals in their field.
So we saw this project as an opportunity to give employees the appreciation for the expertise they possess. We called everyone who qualified for this together and explained what the project entailed. In total, 16 employees signed up, and after the 4-day visit by the 'appreciator', everyone was able to obtain their certificates and receive them during the celebration ceremony."
