KLG speaking in the Gilde Logistics Brochure

As a global logistics service provider, we believe it is important to invest in the younger generation. The Gilde Opleidingen have a Logistics College with various diverse courses related to the logistics sector.
This year they have released a new brochure that also features our Assistant Warehouse Manager, Rob Driessen. Of course we are proud of this and we would like to share it with you!
Rob Driessen - Assistent Loodsbaas Warehouse en Stagebegeleider
"We think it is important to invest in the employees of the future. That's why we have several interns in the Warehouse and in other departments such as Planning, IT and Sales every semester. The students who do internships with us vary from level 2, 3 or 4 and from vocational training pathway (bol) to vocational training course (bbl). Some don't need to be taught anything, so to speak; they already have internship experience. That is of course nice, but it is also a challenge and therefore fun to learn the tricks of the trade. Trainees are never thrown in at the deep end with us. We always make a training schedule and you are assigned a buddy. Are you ready? Then you can start working on your own. Then if there is anything, they can always come to me. Eventually you will work with me as a full colleague. We get to know you well during such an internship and who knows, maybe there is a match for the long term. That happens regularly. There are some who have progressed from the floor to the office. They started out as a trainee and progressed to warehouse coordinator. In logistics, no day is the same. Every day is a new challenge. Sometimes you think you are fully prepared for the next day and then things turn out completely different. It is great that you still manage to bring everything to a successful conclusion with your team, including trainees. That team feeling gives me a big smile on my face. That's what I do it for."
