At KLG, we believe it is important to invest in the future. This is why we have room for various trainees within different departments every semester. Within the various branches, the KLG Kanjer is awarded each semester. We see our trainees as great added value within our company. After all, they are the next generation who will be entering the business world in a few years: Our Next Generation!

KLG Kanjer Eersel: Jarno Smetsers
Jarno has become the KLG Kanjer in Eersel. Jarno's internship period started November 24, 2022 and will last until April 14. Jarno is doing an internship at the crossdock. He is currently taking the course Logistics Employee at Summa College Transport and Logistics in Eindhoven. Besides the internship, Jarno is also working as an on-call worker on Saturdays at KLG Europe Eersel.
Jarno's supervisors see him as a pleasant colleague who performs the assigned work correctly. The internship at KLG Europe is Jarno's first internship in logistics, he has already made many steps. This is partly because he is eager to learn and quickly mastered the tasks.
KLG Kanjer Rotterdam: Enes Deli
At KLG Europe Rotterdam, Enes has been awarded the KLG Kanjer! He did his internship from August 29, 2022 to January 20, 2023 in the Import Department. This internship was part of his course Manager port logistics at STC in Rotterdam.
Enes was a fine colleague who knew his duties and responsibilities. He thinks well about what he is doing. In addition, he was always open to helping others, for example when another department needed it.
He fit very well in the Import team.
KLG Kanjer Venlo: Marcel Szafranski
Marcel completed an internship at KLG Europe Venlo from August 30, 2022 to February 3, 2023. Marcel completed an internship for his course Assistant manager international trade at Gilde opleidingen.
He has grown nicely and is not averse to tackling things and going the extra mile in the process. He made himself indispensable in the department in a very short time. In addition, he made few if any mistakes and picks things up quickly.
He asks good questions and needs little explanation.

Business engineer, logistics engineer. Whatever the function is called, more and more logistics service providers are employing someone who gets completely into the skin of the consignor and is his logistics enquirer. What qualities do they have? What do they bring to the company? And what do they need to remain relevant in the future? Sjoerd Rijs; logistics engineer at KLG Europe shares his experience. Sjoerd Rijs' salary slip at KLG Europe reads “operational excellence engineer”. Quite a mouthful, but it turns out to be just a designation. In conversation with the customer, he works on better logistics processes. He does this based on data and experience with optimisation processes. Rijs (25) has been working in this position for about three years now. He started at KLG while studying Logistics Management at Fontys Venlo. He was already offered a contract during his internship and, in his own words, has no regrets about staying here while he actually wanted to pursue another master's degree. ‘I feel right at home here,’ he says.

KLG Europe Proud of its Contribution to the Successful Edition of the three-day walking event
Two weeks ago, another successful edition of the three-day walking event took place in Horst aan de Maas. At KLG Europe, we are proud to have contributed as a sponsor to this wonderful event. This year, the event welcomed more than 1,050 walkers per day, with a peak of over 1,100 participants on the final day, Sunday.
