What are you going to do?
As a Control Tower Specialist, you will be responsible for the efficient, accurate, and timely execution of activities within the agreed service levels.
Within the Control Tower Team, we work with various areas of expertise. You will support the daily transport operation and ensure the correct handling of financial, customs, and/or transport administrative activities. Together with your colleagues, you will deliver optimal service to both the customer and KLG Europe.
You will monitor service delivery progress, proactively identify deviations, and ensure prompt follow-up. In this role, you will work closely with the customer, carriers, and internal departments, actively contributing to the achievement of agreed performance and quality targets in line with KPIs and service levels. You will report to the Control Tower Manager
In addition, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring the accurate execution of activities within your area of expertise (financial processes, customs activities, or transport administration);
- Identifying and following up on operational deviations, escalations, and exceptions;
- Maintaining contact with customers, carriers, and internal stakeholders;
- Actively contributing to the achievement of performance and quality objectives.
Through your professional and proactive approach, you create clarity, safeguard service quality, and directly contribute to the optimal performance of the Control Tower.

Your profile
For this role, we are looking for a Control Tower Specialist with an affinity for logistics processes and a solid understanding of the importance of the timely, accurate, and complete execution of financial, customs, and transport administrative activities. You understand that precise execution of these processes is essential for achieving agreed service levels, customer satisfaction, and operational performance.
In addition, you recognize yourself in the following profile:
- MBO+ level of working and thinking, preferably in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or Business Administration;
- Experience with transport, customs, or financial administrative processes; a strong foundation in at least one of these disciplines is essential;
- Accurate, structured, and proactive working style;
- Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively interact with various stakeholders;
- A strong sense of responsibility and keen attention to quality;
- The ability to prioritize and maintain oversight in a dynamic environment;
- Good command of both Dutch and English, spoken and written;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- You take ownership, identify issues before they become problems, and ensure that commitments are fulfilled.
