Transport Coordinator

KLG Europe stands for Borderless Logistics and, to expand our team in Waalwijk, we are looking for a Transport Coordinator. As a Transport Coordinator in Waalwijk, you are responsible for various cargo groups across different country groups. You coordinate transport in the broadest sense of the word: from container transports that need to be stored or delivered directly to the customer, to FTL shipments and groupage via KLG Venlo. You ensure that shipments arrive at the right destination on time, without damage, and in accordance with the required specifications. You work independently, but also together with your team.

What are you going to do?

• Receive, confirm and enter orders (create files) received directly from customers;
• Assign freight to one of our strategic carriers while continuously striving to optimize the balance between price and transport within agreed lead times and requirements;
• Draw up loading instructions and send them to the carrier;
• Provide planning for the next day’s outbound transport to the customer and/or warehouse;
• Fully and correctly instruct carriers, trailer operators or container operators for each trip or shipment;
• Coordinate container transport, including heavy containers that may require heavy-duty transport;
• Plan and follow up FTL transports;
• Coordinate groupage shipments via KLG Venlo;
• Follow up shipments on a daily basis (in-transit monitoring);
• Fulfil administrative obligations towards customers, consignees, carriers and the internal organization;
• Handle daily communication with carriers, customers and consignees;
• Receive complaints and resolve them appropriately or forward them.

In short: all activities required to ensure the smooth execution of planned and already scheduled transport.

Your profile

• You have MBO level 4 working and thinking ability;
• You have at least 4 years of experience in a similar position;
• You communicate well in Dutch and English (spoken and written);
• You are precise and accurate and handle customer data carefully;
• You easily connect with people at various levels;
• You are stress-resistant and skilled in planning and organizing;
• Knowledge of Word and Excel is an advantage.
