Teamleader Warehouse

Together with logistics employees, you ensure the correct and timely execution of work. As a team leader, you coordinate these operational activities, stimulate cooperation within the teams and ensure that deadlines and efficiency are achieved within the team. You have a good understanding of the logistical and operational processes to be able to support the team effectively. You report to the Manager Operations & VAS.

What are you going to do?

• Managing, instructing, motivating and managing a number of logistics employees in an operational sense;

• Ensuring efficient staffing and balanced division of work in consultation with the Manager Operations & VAS;

• Supporting the Manager Operations & VAS by acting as a source of information and point of contact for a number of logistics employees;

• Ensuring that the procedures relating to quality are correctly observed;

• Reporting incidents to the Manager Operations & VAS and taking / setting out actions in consultation to improve safety;

• Drawing up the work schedule and liaising with employment agencies;

• Ensuring good cooperation and communication with other departments;

• Customer-oriented attitude (both internally and externally);

• Take care of the team start every day at the start of the shift;

• Attending scheduled meetings on a daily basis to share information regarding planning and production progress.

Your profile

• You have at least 1 year of experience as a team leader in a warehouse environment;

• You have experience in guiding, coordinating and coaching logistics employees;

• You have experience in conducting job application, absenteeism, assessment and performance interviews and filling in the correct documents;

• You have experience in scaling up and down temporary workers and maintaining contact with employment agencies during a peak season;

• You have MBO working and thinking level;

• You have an organizational ability that allows you to plan and prioritize well to ensure that work is carried out safely and smoothly;

• You have flexibility to take over tasks or help out where necessary;

• You have good communication English skills in speech and writing. Minimum demonstrable level is B1.

• You have knowledge and experience working in WMS and/or TMS systems;

• You have basic knowledge of MS Word and MS Excel;

• You are stress-resistant, accurate, organized and systematic.

• You are solution-oriented and communicate easily on various levels.

• If you are in possession of certificates such as emergency response and/or EPT, this is an advantage. Otherwise, you are willing to meet it.
