KLG Europe is a global logistics service provider that combines the strengths of a multinational with the culture of a family business. Our people are the most important factor. They are the foundation of our company and our success. KLG Europe stands for Borderless Logistics, offering our people boundless opportunities as well as a stable home base. We are committed to investing in the growth and development of our employees.

As an Innovation Engineer at KLG Europe, you are responsible for continuously improving and innovating processes for our strategic customer, who operates under extremely high safety and quality standards at the Waalwijk site.

In this warehouse, which has a strong focus on warehousing and Value-Added Services (VAS), you analyse where processes get stuck, where waste occurs, and where performance can be improved. You translate these insights into concrete improvement and innovation projects, which you implement together with the on-site teams and the customer.

With your critical mindset and pragmatic approach, you contribute to a more efficient, stable, and future-proof warehouse operation, actively thinking along about optimising daily warehouse activities to ensure an even smoother and more effective overall goods flow.

What are you going to do?

  • Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify improvements and innovations.
  • Optimize processes within the warehouse, VAS and supporting transport flows.
  • Map end-to-end process streams using Value Stream Mapping.
  •  Lead Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement projects (DMAIC, Kaizen).
  •  Translate analyses into practical solutions and standards that ensure improvements are sustained.
  •  Collaborate closely with team leaders, operators, planners, quality and the Chinese customer.
  • Develop and maintain process documentation, standards and work instructions.
  •  Coach and support teams in Lean thinking and continuous improvement.
  •  Monitor performance and follow up on improvement projects, report to management and the customer.
  • Implement innovative methods and techniques and create value for the customer.
  •  Ensure safety, quality and compliance with warehouse procedures.

What should you expect from us?

  • An expert team with whom you achieve results together and end the day with pride in the plan you delivered.
  • Work at a growing and financially sound logistics service provider where values have mattered for decades.
  • Strong employment conditions with a competitive salary based on a full-time contract.
  • A low-threshold organization with short lines of communication.
  • Attention and room for training, personal development and growth opportunities.
  • An informal and pleasant working atmosphere.
  • Room for your own input and creativity.
  • A dynamic, international and innovative work environment.
  • A pension scheme.
  • Fun activities and outings.

Your profile

  • Proven experience with Lean / Continuous Improvement and leading Six Sigma improvement projects in logistics, warehousing or production.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven; you analyze processes based on KPIs, facts and observations and translate them into measurable improvement actions.
  • Several years of experience in a logistics, warehouse or production environment; you understand how operations really run.
  • You have at least 5 years of relevant professional experience to succeed in this role.
  • You not only come up with improvements, but you also implement them effectively and secure them sustainably in standards and ways of working.
  • Clear and convincing communicator in Dutch and English, both on the shop floor and towards management, and able to bring teams along.
  • Hands-on mentality: visible in operations and proactively steering where necessary.
  • Takes ownership and actively drives results, stability and performance improvement.
