As a shift leader, you are responsible for managing the team leaders and warehouse employees. This team ensures that operational activities are carried out accurately and within the set timelines. You can think of receiving goods, booking and storing inside and order picking, checking and preparing shipment. You are one of the operational leaders in the warehouse and ensure optimal staffing by conducting job interviews and assessment interviews. Together with your fellow Shift Leaders, you create an environment in which team cohesion and efficiency are constantly optimized. Thanks to your commitment and leadership, the teams can excel and the continuity of the process is guaranteed. You report to the Operations manager.
What will you do?
- Ensuring daily management of the team, promoting good cooperation and coordination with other departments
- Conducting job interviews, assessment interviews and absenteeism interviews. Also responsible for the correct follow-up and documentation;
- Ensuring that the procedures relating to quality and safety are carried out correctly;
- Ensuring compliance with safety rules, procedures, processes and regulations during the shift by performing checks and monitoring performance;
- Making the work planning and instructing the warehouse employees;
- Recording and reporting incidents to the Operations manager and taking / setting out actions in consultation to improve safety;
- Identifying improvements and making proposals for improvement;
- Ensuring order and cleanliness in the warehouse;
- Customer-oriented attitude (both internally and externally);

Your profile
- You have experience as a manager in a warehouse environment;
- Experience in managing teams in varying compositions;
- You have MBO working and thinking level;
- You are a team player with a proactive attitude, willing to go the extra mile;
- You have problem-solving skills and know how to respond adequately to problems or challenges that occur in the warehouse;
- You have good communication skills of the Dutch and English language in word and writing;
- You have knowledge and experience working in WMS and/or TMS systems;
- You have basic knowledge of word and Excel;
- Knowledge and experience with LEAN (Greenbelt) is an advantage;
- You are stress-resistant, accurate, organized and systematic.
